Liz says:
I met Bear and his sister Pinky on September 18th 2005. They were one
day old. I went downstairs to the crate where they were born, picked
them up and brought them upstairs. I told Mom "here they are Hansel
and Gretel." That's right they were the only two. We decided we were
not going to keep them so we called them silly names like Pinky and
Stinky. Well Pinky stuck and since we already had a Stinky (aka Rosie)
we called Stinky Bear. Not to mention they were born on Mom's
wedding day therefore their register names are of course "Claddagh's
Ring Bearer" (Bear) and "Claddagh's Maid of Honor" (Pinky). Mom likes
to say "most people get his and her towels. We got his and her
puppies." When they were about 10 weeks old they came to live with
me. I fell in love with Bear almost instantly. He had good temperment,
structure, head, and most of all color. As you can see he is not lacking
in the beautiful American black overlay or spectacles. Last summer
Pinky went to live in Indiana with a 13 year old 4-H girl named Nicki and
Pinky is now called Sadie. Bear still lives here with me and has also
spent time at Mom's because he has a bark like a bear's roar. Bear's
first show was Valporasio, IN June 2006. He has both majors and 1
point towards his championship. Look for him in a ring near you.
